How to reach us

The Hotel Rocca Ranne is in Montefranco (TR), in Via del Palazzo10. It is located in the green heart of Valnerina, just 7 km far from the Marmore Waterfall, it is really easy to reach from all directions and by different means of transport :

By car:

A1 Rome-Florence: exit the highway at Orte, take the direction Terni (SS675) and continue to Spoleto (SS3). About 6 km after passing through the town of Terni, on the right there is a crossroads, turn on the right to Montefranco and go straight on till you get to the village.

E45 Orte-Cesena: once you are nearby Perugia, you have to continue to Spoleto (SS75) and then to Terni. About 16 km after passing Spoleto, there is a crossroads, then just turn on the left to get to Montefranco in 5 minutes.

On the train:

Ancona-Rome line: get off at Terni station. Once you are in town, you can rent a car (Hertz Car Rental is 200mt far from Terni Station), otherwise you can take a bus (line no. 21, the bus station is only 100 meters far from the train station) or call a taxi. From railway station it will take just 20 minutes to get to Montefranco.
If you get off at Spoleto station, you can call a taxi that will bring you to Montefranco in 30 minutes.

By plane:

Roma Fiumicino airport (148 km).
Roma Ciampino airport (130 Km).
Perugia Sant’Egidio airport (78 km).

The breakfast

The breakfast buffet is included in the room price, it skillfully combines : sweet, salty and seasonal fruit. In addition to our homemade cakes, there is a choice of local products, carefully selected by our staff. According to the season, you can’t miss the pleasure of having breakfast outside on our panoramic terrace.

Free parking and garage

Customers will find behind the hotel a large free parking. Considering the number of spaces available, even big cars, like wagons or cabs, can easily find a place without having to drive farther than 100 meters from the hotel. Anyway, if you prefer not to leave your car outside, the hotel has got a private covered parking on request.

Wi-Fi and other services

The hotel has free wi-fi, pets of small and medium size are allowed (with a little additional cost), we accept credit card. The hotel staff is helpful in providing to customers any kind of information about our region. Depending on the period and on your interests, we will show you in detail what to do and what to see, giving you all the informative material and the logistic support in order to take advantage as much as possible from our territorie.

Meeting room - Auditorium

The hotel offers a spacious meeting room that, thanks to the audio system and to the soundproofing, can also be used as Auditorium for auditions and concerts too.

The meeting room can offer up to 100 seats, an audio system (with ice cream cone microphones), a video system with DVD player, a digital projector with white screen and a video conferencing system.

The room has got its own parking. To make everything more pleasant, the wonderful landscape of Valnerina.

Restaurant

The restaurant “Il tralcio e l’uva” ( The grapevines ), located right opposite the hotel, has cozy and comfortable rooms witch were part of the ancient houses of the historical center of the village. It also has a wonderful terrace where customers can have breakfast (included in the room price), taste our aperitifs, have lunch or dinner enjoying a beautiful view over the valley.

The restaurant offers a typical Umbrian cuisine, accompanied by the best local wines. All recipes are prepared with seasonal and short chain (Km 0) products such as extra-virgin olive oil, truffles, cold cut and cheeses from Norcia, organic jams etc. Our attention to food is closely connected to that towards local traditions and the environment.

Our Suites

We have comfortable flats with two and three rooms (from 3 to 5 beds) characterized by brightness, spaciousness and views of the medieval village, the mountains or the valley below.

Among our suite, there is one in particular which is located on the top floor of the hotel (also accessible by elevator) that stands out for the size and for its rustic and elegant finishes.
